Adventures in Argentina

This project taught me that real horse power is king.

Another passport-worthy adventure took me to the stunning landscapes and vibrant cities of Argentina! I was tasked with creating a complete asset package for the Chevy S10 and Trailblazer, and the goal was to showcase not just the vehicles but also the essence of four other countries that would be using these assets. I explored everything from bustling city streets to remote ranches, winding dirt roads, and tucked-away hidden gems. Each location offered its own unique charm, but the real magic came from the people I met along the way. Their warmth and spirit really brought the project to life, making it an unforgettable experience that perfectly blended culture and creativity.

Argentine ranch

We needed to tell a story that would show off this truck but tie it to the market culturally. We decided to portray ranch life since we rarely got the opportunity to do so, plus with the right location, I knew we would be able to capture several cool shots in one central hub, Our location scout nailed it with this horse ranch. Bonus points, we got to use horses in our running footage!

Small crew, Big moves

For this vehicle, we needed to show its ability to go off road but that means whole different thing in South America. Our clients made sure we didn’t show the typical off-roading shots we typically see in America, so we knew this was less about the terrain and more about the activity. We found a great stretch of road off a secluded beach but with that came hard to reach places — which meant we could not bring our motion car and full crew — so we run and gunned it and captured amazing footage as the sun was setting,

Two sides to a story

With this Trailblazer, it led us to the city where we captured stills and video in a three-day shoot. We had permits to shoot in the city but due to ongoing political protests/elections, our permits were revoked two days before shoot day. But with some quick thinking and a lot of luck, we found a strip of road that allowed us to capture our running footage and drone shots and keep our schedule in tact. Every production has its stressful moments but this was one of the worst — I grew not only as a creative but as a person from this experience.
